What should your homepage say first? Visitors decide fast whether to stay. Your first screen has one job.
Nielsen Norman Group, a usability research firm, found that users often leave web pages in 10 to 20 seconds. Pages with a clear value proposition hold attention much longer.
So answer three questions on the first screen: what you make, who it's for, and what to do next.
Leave the slogans for later. Show the product, its regulatory status and one proof point instead.
Start with three things. One: write one sentence that says what you make. Two: name who it's for. Three: put one clear button next to it.
Say what you do before anything else.
