Do your AI-written health pages need a label in the EU? Since August second, they might, unless two conditions are met.
Under Article 50 of the EU AI Act, AI-generated text published to inform the public on matters of public interest must be disclosed.
To skip the label you need both: a substantive human review, and a person who holds editorial responsibility. A spell-check is not a review. And a substantive AI edit after sign-off can void the exemption.
One date to watch. The text label has applied since August second, 2026. December second only concerns providers' machine-readable marks for older systems.
Three steps. One: sort your AI-assisted public outputs. Two: record a substantive, named review. Three: publish who holds editorial responsibility.
Review it properly, or label it clearly.
